David Weintraub is currently a talent manager and producer at DWE TALENT and JACKSON/WEINTRAUB PRODUCTIONS, both leading Beverly Hills-based management/production firms. Some of his clients are musicians and actors such as Otep Shamaya, Mya, Kurupt, Too Short, Crazytown, Taylor Hicks,, Scott Storch, Dirt Nasty, Tiny Lister, 2 time world heavy weight boxing champion Shannon Briggs, Birdman, The Rad Girls, Jo De La Rosa, Randy Spelling, Christian Audigier, Bizarre of D12, Steven Adler/Guns N Roses, Michael Damien, Sean Stewart, Frank White, Kimberly Wyatt of The Pussycat Dolls and Mary Carey. He also produces film and television projects.
David attended Montclair College Prep with friend and SONS OF HOLLYWOOD co star Randy Spelling, then moved on to the University of Southern California where he graduated with a degree in Entertainment Business. His first job in the entertainment industry was at Interscope Records, where he worked in A&R and Marketing with artists like Eminem, No Doubt, Bush, and Snoop Dogg. He did A&R work for several other companies as well, including Death Row Records, Web Entertainment and Spellbound Records.
William Morris Agency provided David with an entry into the talent agency business where he spent one year working in the music arm of the powerhouse agency. David then spent 6 years as a motion picture talent agent at UTA (United Talent Agency) working with a-list film and television actors. When David created A&E's Sons Of Hollywood which he also produced and starred in, he took his clients and properties, left UTA and opened DWE TALENT where he continues to run a flourishing production/management co.
David’s credits include TV reality show, Sons of Hollywood, Date My Ex, Battle Ground Earth Ludacris vs. Tommy Lee, Docstars, Catwalk Girls, Celebrity Rehab and Simply The Best aka The Christian Audigier Show. David is also the executive producer upcoming film Penthouse. He also has a number of other scripted and non scripted properties that will be coming out in 2009.
David is one of the few Hollywood executives/insiders who has worked as an A&R rep, TV show producer/creator, talent agent, talent manager and star of his own shows. This is extremely rare and separates him from the rest. David's is starring in DATE MY EX (spin off to Housewives of Orange County) - premieres July 21st @ 10pm on BRAVO.
